Statement of intent
For my print advertisement for my documentary, I will make sure that the poster will indeed follow the rules that were set by the ASA. For example, I will not have any content that is deemed unsettling or unsuitable as well as condone violence or anti-social behaviour to any audiences. This is important because the print advertisement would be showcased out in public, where it can easily be seen by people that are not the target audience like children, which could then upset or cause distress to them. The time of which I would like my broadcast to be aired would be after seven PM, this is because the audience I am trying to attract are ages sixteen and up, and the time for this documentary to air would be perfect due to the fact that children below the ages of sixteen are less likely to be up and awake watching television at that time due to having to get up and go to school early next morning. I am also planning for the documentary to be based on a paranormal and true crime experience, so this series would be very unsuitable for children under the age of sixteen.
For the documentary to be successful to the audiences, it must be portrayed positively so that the audience will             be interested in watching it. I intend on representing both men and women in my documentary. The show will be cantered about cultists and the law enforcement officers tasked with trying to hunt them down to imprison them, I will then represent the law enforcement officers in a positive way by making them smile and even look determined, however this will contrast the poster for the cultists due to the fact that the cultists are going to be painted as if they are in the wrong and will be depicted as the bad guys in the documentary. I will then represent both social groups (male and female) as law enforcement officer and cultists.
